Hammock
I made hammocks for Emma and marianne for Christmas. We put Marianne's out this week. They take the hammock in each time, but leave the rope in the tree. They all liked it. I made one more for the little kids.

Exploring
We finally all took a trek around the property. We all enjoyed it. Someday we'll make some trails so we don't encounter so many thorns and bushes along the way.

Car Trains and Horses
Or more commonly called Vrmm, choo Choo and YeeHaw! They go with James every where he goes. Not always the same ones, but usually at least one of each in some form (book or otherwise). I had started stuffing my pockets because of course he wants to be carried too. Then emma had the great idea to put them in his backpack and now he gets to carry his own stuff.
Darking Bogs
We took a walk this afternoon hoping to put James to sleep. There is one house up the road with a dog that has a mean sounding bark. We had a conversation that went something like this.
Lea: "When we get close to the house with the darking bog I want to turn around if it comes out."
Mom: "The darking bog?"
Lea: "Yes I don't like the darking bog. We should walk back to the creek if he is out."
Emma: "Did she just say the darking bog?"
Lea: " How close are we to the darking bog?"
(By this time we all started laughing)
Lea: "What is so funny? I don't like the darking bog?"
More laughter, Lea included.
Emma: "Do you know why we're laughing? You said the darking bog."
Lea: " Yeah, I'm afraid of the darking bog!"
It took a while before anyone could stop laughing enough to point out what she was saying.

Random Pictures
Lea took some random pictures yesterday. Here is one. While the kids were out of school on one of their snow days I decided to finish up the wall decorating (part of my get the garage organized project). The girls helped. It included framing the great-grandma's doilies we got while I was out in Utah for Grandma Oliver's funeral. This one is GG Clara Wright. The other one is GG Ethel Oliver. ( I went back and checked the tag and it did say Ethel Oliver on it.)

SNoW!
James throwing snowballs.
From front to back, the snow cave, bench and alligator.
Trying to find the front porch.
We have had our share of snow the last few weeks. They have enjoyed playing in it: Sleding, building snow people, towns, houses, turtle, alligators, caves and snow balls. JaMes went out a couple times and I pulled him around on the sled but he didn't figure out the snowballs until this week. He likes them so much he didn't care about the cold played in bare hands and feet. It wasn't actually that cold today (58) but the snow is still melting. We went out to take pictures of the snow cave before it melted and he didn't want to come in so we took a few of him too.
I have to figure out how to get the pictures in the order I want them again. They have changed the uploader. Someday I may try to fill in the last 2 months. For now, I'm going forward.
