Braces

Marianne just got her braces on. She is having a hard time talking and eating right now with the tongue guard, appliance, and all in her mouth. She has been a pretty good sport about it. She had some blowpop suckers she was saving. She said "Now I can't eat them for TWO YEARS!"

Missing Tooth

Lea started telling me her teeth hurt right after school started. I didn't think that were that loose yet but when she tried to remove a game cartridge from the game boy with her teeth . . . One just "popped right out".

The Real Story

We decided to get startedon putting up the shelves in the garage on Labor Day. I turned on the shop vac and starburst started shooting out of the vacumm. The Blower was stuffed full of Starbursts, a few pieces of dog food and cough drops. While we were getting them all out (it took a while) we decided James must have stuck them in. He is into sticking things in holes. The starburst were in the box of things I buy for lunches which the kids aren't suppose to get without permission. We asked all the kids who got it down. Everyone denied it. We talked to them one on one and decided they were telling the truth. We came up with this explaination: Emma must have left them out when she'd asked about them. The dog must have chewed the bag open and James stuck them in the hole. A few days later I was getting a lightbulb down and found a few starbursts, shredded wrappers and evidence of mice in the lightbulb box. It wasn't James . . . The bag was still in the "lunch" box. I guess the mice like starburst or at least the way they smell. I had already caught 2 the previous week and the dog had caught one. They were rather tricky mice. It look about 5 tries and a different kind of mice trap to get them.

Homcoming

After winning, my friends and i all ran out to the middle of the field where the team celebrated

Probably close to second quarter, football players, cheerleaders

Players kneeling on the field after the victory listening to the coach and aplauding outstanding players

My friend Asher in all his Marching Band glory :)

Football players running onto the field for the first time, through the sign held by the cheerleaders

HOMECOMING!!!!(this post is also done by Emma) This was my first year going to homecoming. And to tell the truth I loved the game but wasn't super impressed with the dance. I became interested in football last yr so I understood (to some extent) the game, making it much more enjoyable to me than those clueless to the rules. In the 1st quarter, it was looking like we were going to lose for the 3rd yr in a row. 7 Stockton Tigers 0 Strafford Indians. Second quarter, we were tied 7,7. Third quarter we were losing, right up to the end were we pulled ahead 20 Tigers, 21 Indians. In the last quarter we pulled forward to 26 Tigers, 27 Indians, making it very intense in the crowd and on the field. And finally, with 30 seconds to spare, we scored another touchdown, securing our win. :) My friends and I stood on the Tiger touchdown line(the one the Tigers scored with) in the last couple of minutes (all the action was down on the Indian end) and as soon as they scored a touchdown, we all ran onto the field super excited :) it was amazing. SO fun :) Then Ada and I went to the dance. It wasn't really my scene and even Ada said she prefered the Seminary dance we went to in August. So after a hour I texted my Mom and had her pick us up. My friend Megan ended up leaving the same time as us. We decided next yr. we're gona ditch the dance all together and do something in Springfield. :) overall, good times ;)

an asuming mom

(this blog post is written by emma, therefore you may recieve a skewed perspective) So...randomly one day, my mom calls all us girls into the garage with a serious look on her face and says who opened the starburst package? The package had been opened and shoved into the shot back hole. We concluded James did the shoving up the vaccum, but we didn't know who had gotten them down where "James" could reach. And of course no one but me knew where the starburst where, making me a prime suspect, right? Wrong!!! You see, I had discovered the starburst one evening while packing my lunch, so I went and asked Mom if I could take two....any way point is I didn't take them. So after Mom interogated us all, she says okay, we don't know who's lying but we won't go swimming until we know who opened them. So I call all the girls into the living room and ask them all( making them look me in the eyes) and say they didn't take them. And to me, it looked like they all where telling the truth. SO i went down to Mom and told her it wasn't any of us. So, we tried coming up with some alternative opitions. We came up with one, (this was our theory) I had accidently left them on a lower shelve when I took them back downstairs. Then Gracie pulled them off, bit a hole in the bag and scattered them everywhere. James then filled the shotback with them. So with this conclusion we continue with our lives. Then on Monday, Mom went to put some grocries on the shelve where the starbursts once resided, and the bag was still there. What REALLY happened, was that a mouse bit a hole in the bag and one by one carried them all down and shoved them into the shot back hole, storing them for winter....haha poor mouse, we destroyed his stash. :) We talked about it at FHE that night and talked about how it was good we were all honest. Good times, good times :) -Emma
